Apple Plans to Introduce Generative AI to iPhone and iPad Devices as Early as 2024
-
Jeff Pu, an analyst at Haitong International Securities, stated that Apple plans to introduce generative AI technology to its iPhone and iPad devices as early as the end of 2024. Apple may set up hundreds of AI servers in the next two years to achieve related functionalities.
Jeff Pu believes that Apple will offer a combination of cloud-based and on-device AI solutions to ensure user privacy. However, he also cautioned that patience is required, as Apple is still considering how to use and process personal data in a manner consistent with its customer privacy commitments.
Previously, Bloomberg's Mark Gurman reported that Apple is internally testing a "ChatGPT-like" chatbot called "Apple GPT," but has yet to establish a clear strategy for "deploying generative AI."
