Tech company Dell has released a generative artificial intelligence (AI) tool named 'Dell Validated Design for Generative AI with NVIDIA for Model Customization', aimed at helping businesses extract intelligence from data. The key feature of this tool is its provision of pre-trained models, enabling users to quickly derive intelligent insights from data without the need to build models from the ground up.

Dell stated that this tool offers users best practices for customizing and fine-tuning generative AI models based on desired outcomes, while ensuring data security and localization. Users can also tailor generative AI models in various ways to suit specific tasks involving their proprietary data.

Jeff Boudreau, Chief AI Officer at Dell Technologies, said: 'To best support AI workloads across public clouds, on-premises environments, and edge computing, enterprises need a robust data foundation, including the right infrastructure, software, and services. This is what we are building through expanded validated designs, professional services, modern data lake warehouses, and the world's broadest portfolio of GenAI solutions.'

The launch of this generative AI tool underscores Dell's ongoing efforts in the AI field, providing businesses with enhanced data intelligence support to meet diverse workload demands. Customizing and fine-tuning generative AI models can help enterprises better utilize their data resources, enabling more efficient workflows and more accurate decision-making.
