    Recently, Baidu released its first large-scale quantum model, alongside two AI-native applications—Baidu Quantum Assistant and Quantum Writing Assistant—designed to accelerate the deep integration of quantum technology and large models across chip, framework, model, and application layers, fully leveraging the potential of both technologies.

    According to reports, this quantum-domain large model is built upon Baidu's ERNIE (Enhanced Representation through kNowledge IntEgration) foundation, further trained and optimized with high-quality quantum-domain data. It demonstrates superior understanding of quantum knowledge and executes quantum-related tasks with professional precision.

    Baidu's quantum-domain large model will maximize technical synergies, complementing strengths in data, algorithms, and computing power to achieve bidirectional empowerment. It will enhance existing large-model capabilities across multiple dimensions, including training speed, model performance, cost efficiency, interaction effectiveness, and data privacy.

    The Baidu Quantum Assistant is trained on 78 million raw data points and 220,000 fine-tuned datasets, leveraging Baidu's quantum knowledge base and the industry-grade knowledge-enhanced ERNIE model. Serving as the unified entry point for Baidu's Quantum Platform, it integrates the full technical chain of quantum hardware, software, and applications, continuously lowering the platform's accessibility threshold.

    The Quantum Writing Assistant enables accurate and efficient output of quantum-domain knowledge and technology, making quantum expertise more accessible. It reduces the learning curve for quantum computing and boosts research efficiency. For example, with just six input variables, the assistant can draft a 13,000-word patent document compliant with formatting standards in under five minutes, helping enterprises efficiently transform quantum research into intellectual property assets.
