The Arrival of AI-Powered New Humans: Scenario-Based Large Models Accelerate Commercial Deployment
-
On September 21, during Huawei Connect 2023, Huawei, in collaboration with partners such as Zidong Taichu, Zhipu AI, iFlytek Healthcare, and Unitree Robotics, unveiled a series of AI-powered innovations including intelligent digital humans, AI programming assistants, AI medical assistants, and smart inspection robots. These advancements, built on Huawei's FusionCube A3000 training/inference hyper-converged appliance, aim to create a new generation of AI-powered humans and accelerate the commercial deployment of scenario-based large models.
Zhou Yuefeng, Vice President of Huawei and President of the Data Storage Product Line, stated that millennia of civilization have given rise to countless industries, accumulating vast knowledge repositories. In the era of large AI models, only by equipping these models with knowledge bases can robotic brains 'think' and evolve into AI-powered new humans capable of handling diverse scenarios.
Zidong Taichu leveraged Huawei's FusionCube A3000, its own large model, and an intelligent digital human knowledge base to introduce smart digital assistants such as Storage Assistant Xiao Hai, Government Front Desk, and Tax Assistant. Among them, Storage Assistant Xiao Hai is Huawei Data Storage Product Line's first digital employee, providing pre-sales technical consultation to Huawei sales teams and partners with capabilities like intelligent Q&A, intent queries, and content generation.
Zhipu AI utilized Huawei's FusionCube A3000, its CodeGeeX programming large model, and enterprise code knowledge bases to develop an intelligent programming assistant. This tool offers features such as smart Q&A, code generation and completion, test case generation, code optimization, automatic commenting, and code translation. It also detects vulnerabilities and defects in code through semantic analysis and query technologies, enhancing programmers' productivity and enjoyment.
For the healthcare sector, Huawei partnered with iFlytek Healthcare to create an AI medical assistant. Based on Huawei's FusionCube A3000, iFlytek's Spark large model, and medical knowledge bases, this assistant enables functionalities like voice-based medical records, consultation assistance, smart ward rounds, and intelligent follow-ups, ensuring every patient has an AI health assistant and every doctor an AI diagnostic aide.
Huawei also collaborated with Unitree Robotics to develop a smart inspection robot for power stations, integrating Huawei's FusionCube A3000, Unitree's inspection robots, and intelligent inspection knowledge bases. This solution provides smart navigation, situational analysis, voice recognition, asset inventory, and automated reporting, making inspections smarter, more efficient, and safer.
From general-purpose large models to industry-specific ones, the birth of AI-powered new humans reflects Huawei Data Storage's approach of combining industry-specific knowledge bases with large model capabilities. This accelerates the commercial deployment of scenario-based large models, enabling AI to serve diverse industries effectively.
