This feature is planned to be made available to select creators later this year, with a broader rollout scheduled for 2024. This means more creators will be able to effortlessly create impressive short videos without the need for complex post-production.
YouTube's move reflects the current trend of many companies and services actively integrating AI features. Meanwhile, Microsoft has also introduced an AI companion called 'Copilot' in Windows 11 to provide users with a smarter computing experience.
In addition to Dream Screen, Google plans to launch more AI-related tools in the future. They will introduce generative AI-driven video topic suggestions in YouTube Studio to help creators better select themes for their content. Furthermore, they will add an assistant search feature in Creator Music to assist creators in choosing the most suitable music for their videos.
YouTube also announced a mobile app called 'YouTube Create,' aimed at simplifying the video production process and making it easier for beginners to create and share videos. This free app is currently in beta on select Android markets, offering tools like precision editing, trimming, and automatic captions, enabling users to edit videos easily on their phones.
