This year, generative AI represented by ChatGPT has garnered widespread attention. What are the future application scenarios of generative AI? How will it impact our work and lives? At the 2023 China International Fair for Trade in Services, reporters explored various generative AI products.
Triggering Business Model Transformation
Generative artificial intelligence refers to technology that generates text, images, sounds, videos, code, and other content based on algorithms, models, and rules.
During this year's CIFTIS, Alibaba International officially launched a full-chain foreign trade AI product, including two major services: "Business Assistant" and OKKI AI. Reporters observed that merchants only need to write titles and product descriptions in their most familiar Chinese and click "Smart Optimization." The AI will then refine the content into English titles and descriptions that better meet overseas demand and highlight selling points, based on product features and popular search terms.

When domestic foreign trade companies engage in video communication with overseas buyers, real-time translated subtitles appear on the screen. "Cross-border live streaming has become an important way for foreign trade companies to promote products and secure orders. AI products can help overseas buyers and Chinese foreign trade companies communicate seamlessly and obtain orders more efficiently," said a relevant official from Alibaba International.
Wang Tiantian, General Manager of Alibaba International's China Suppliers and Cross-Border Supply Chain, stated that the application of AI and other technologies has significantly accelerated the digitalization of global foreign trade.
APUS (Aurora Mobile) showcased its "Tianyan Large Model" at this year's CIFTIS. "The 'Tianyan Large Model' can help users quickly complete tasks such as writing reports, papers, programs, resumes, and answering life-related questions," said Deng Xiaobo, Vice President of APUS. Generative AI will be applied to various niche fields, continuously improving business efficiency. "Taking the 'Smart Healthcare' scenario of the 'Tianyan Large Model' as an example, AI is integrated into all aspects of medical visits, diagnosis, follow-ups, and triage. Patients can inquire about their conditions, conduct health assessments, and perform intelligent triage in real time, then consult with an 'AI Digital Doctor' through the intelligent diagnosis platform."
"Will generative AI disrupt business models? One of the application scenarios of 'Zhipu Qingyan' AI product is replacing programmers in writing code. In the future, programmers will only need to input requirements, and the AI will automatically generate the code, saving the time spent on manual coding," said a relevant official from Beijing Zhipu Huazhang Technology Co., Ltd.
Accelerating Integration into Daily Life
Baidu's "Wenxin Yiyan" recently became available to the public. When a reporter entered "Write an article praising my friend" into the "Wenxin Yiyan" dialog box, a vivid and fluent article appeared on the screen in less than a minute.

Qualcomm's generative AI products attracted numerous visitors. "Qualcomm's AI models can operate independently on Android phones without requiring internet connection or cloud access, with all computing tasks completed on the mobile chip. Whether it's phones, computers, or smart cars, all will possess the capability to run large AI models in the future," said a Qualcomm representative.
"The application of generative AI in vehicles can enrich our experiences. In the future, your car will understand you better and generate content according to your thoughts," the Qualcomm official added.
"Artificial intelligence has become an important driving force in the new round of technological revolution and industrial transformation," said Wu Tian, Vice President of Baidu Group. AI can bring comprehensive industrial upgrades and holds even greater potential for the future.
"AI is profoundly changing our era," said Dai Qionghai, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and chairman of the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence. Deep learning-driven AI has accelerated development across technology, healthcare, electronics, finance and other industries, demonstrating strong enabling capabilities.
Meng Pu, Chairman of Qualcomm China, stated that in recent years, generative AI has shown unprecedented development potential in speed and scope, driving service innovation and efficiency improvements while accelerating digital and intelligent transformation in services, gradually becoming a catalyst for service trade development.
