Ant Group and Peking University Third Hospital (PUTH) have officially established a strategic partnership to create an AI Healthcare Joint Innovation Laboratory. This deep industry-academia-research collaboration will combine the clinical diagnostic strengths of top-tier hospitals with the professional large model capabilities of leading technology platforms, advancing AI healthcare applications toward greater specialization, trustworthiness, and practicality.

The joint laboratory will initially prioritize major disease areas including colorectal cancer, endocrinology, and assisted reproduction, focusing on overcoming challenges in AI-assisted diagnostic decision-making and patient service system development. Through multi-departmental collaboration, it will conduct research and application development in medical multimodal large models and AI-assisted clinical diagnosis, helping doctors achieve precise treatment for complex conditions while improving patient recovery rates and post-treatment management accessibility.

Professor Fu Wei, President of PUTH, stated: "Through the work of this joint laboratory, we aim to accelerate the translation of AI technology research achievements into clinical applications in healthcare. By employing innovative approaches to address challenging issues in clinical diagnosis and treatment, we can provide patients with more accurate and efficient medical services while offering the industry a replicable model for industry-academia-research collaboration."

Notably, both parties simultaneously launched the development of PUTH's AI Agent project. This initiative is expected to be deployed on Ant's AI Health Assistant AQ platform in the future, providing comprehensive AI-assisted medical services to PUTH patients throughout their healthcare journey - essentially equipping each patient with a personalized AI medical assistant.

This innovative measure will fundamentally optimize the patient healthcare experience and improve medical service efficiency, offering a replicable and scalable practical pathway for smart hospital construction. Patients will receive professional guidance and attentive services from AI assistants throughout the entire process, from appointment scheduling to post-treatment management.

Liu Junwei, General Manager of Ant Group's AI Healthcare division, remarked: "Making healthcare more accessible for ordinary people is one of Ant's key visions. We will leverage our strengths in healthcare large model technology and the AQ platform ecosystem, adhering to long-term principles to better serve patients, doctors, and hospitals."

This collaboration demonstrates the deep integration between technology companies and top-tier medical institutions in the field of AI healthcare. By combining their respective core strengths in clinical practice and technological innovation, the partnership is expected to explore more mature models for implementing AI healthcare applications, driving the intelligent transformation and upgrading of the entire medical industry.
