Google Search Introduces AI Agent for One-Click Restaurant Reservations and Personalized Services!
-
Google has officially announced the addition of an AI Agent feature to its search engine, providing users with a smarter search experience. This new feature helps users automatically complete restaurant reservations and customize search results based on personal preferences, significantly enhancing convenience.
Users simply need to input requirements such as the number of diners, date, time, location, taste preferences, and dietary restrictions into the search bar. The AI Agent will then search across multiple booking platforms and present a list of restaurants that meet the user's needs, allowing direct linking to reservation pages. This service greatly simplifies the booking process and makes restaurant selection easier.
Additionally, users participating in the AI mode experiment will see search results tailored to their personal interests and preferences. For example, in dining, users can ask, "I only have an hour—what are some quick lunch options nearby?" The AI will provide more relevant recommendations based on the user's past search history and click behavior. If the user prefers Italian cuisine or plant-based meals, the AI will intelligently recommend restaurants of those types.
The AI Agent also supports sharing search inspirations with family and friends. Users can simply click the "Share" button, allowing contacts to directly view the search results for easy discussion and further exploration. This is particularly useful for scenarios requiring joint decision-making, such as couples planning a honeymoon.
Google's new feature makes AI more like a smart assistant rather than just a tool. Users can effortlessly handle tedious tasks like booking services and receiving personalized recommendations, aiding in daily life planning.
The AI Agent is powered by Google's in-house Project Mariner, which has real-time web browsing capabilities. Using natural language, users can assign various tasks to the AI Agent, such as research and data entry. The AI Agent can understand user goals, formulate plans, execute them, and even provide continuous feedback during the process.
The project also features learning and memory functions, enabling it to repeat the same workflow with minimal input after completing a task for the first time. This saves users significant time and improves efficiency.
Currently, Google Search's AI Agent feature is available in over 180 countries and regions, with plans to expand to more applications like local service bookings and event tickets in the future.
