“With SAP Sustainability Control Tower, we now have one central source for all relevant KPIs and data points and the confidence that our data complies with EU’s CSRD requirements,” says Jochen Herold, Project Manager Sustainability Performance Management at Mercedes-Benz Group AG.
“Full traceability of the data’s lineage through the system means our KPIs are both auditable and ready to use across the group.”
Mercedes-Benz is just one of many companies leveraging SAP’s innovative sustainability solutions to align with ESG reporting and advance its sustainability goals.
The suite includes SAP Sustainability Control Tower, SAP Sustainability Footprint Management, SAP Responsible Design and Production, as well as SAP S/4HANA for environment management and workplace safety.

AI integration in sustainability
SAP’s sustainability solutions are powered by AI, which crucially connects disparate business and sustainability data, effectively dismantling data silos.
This integration allows for more precise analytics and reporting capabilities, streamlines data management and enhances compliance with regulatory standards.
The application of AI in these systems ensures that firms can efficiently monitor and report their ESG metrics, fulfilling stringent international guidelines.
