Oxford Quantum Circuits (OQC) and Digital Realty have partnered with Nvidia to launch the world’s first Quantum-AI data centre in New York City, marking a significant development in hybrid computing capabilities.
The new facility, situated at Digital Realty’s JFK10 location, combines OQC’s GENESIS quantum computer with Nvidia’s GH200 Grace Hopper superchips.
This integration is a milestone in merging quantum computing capabilities with AI infrastructure.
The partnership builds upon previous collaborations, with OQC planning to standardise Nvidia technology integration in future GENESIS systems.
Developers can leverage the Nvidia CUDA-Q platform to create sophisticated hybrid quantum-AI applications.
“This Quantum-AI Data Centre demonstrates how quantum can drive the AI revolution - securely, practically and at scale - while strengthening the UK-US technology alliance,“ says Gerald Mullally, CEO of OQC.
“Leveraging Digital Realty’s infrastructure and Nvidia’s supercomputing, we are redefining enterprise computing for finance and security.“

Enterprise-level computing solutions
Digital Realty’s President and CEO Andy Power believes the infrastructure could be of huge strategic importance going forward.
“By working with OQC, we’re using Nvidia supercomputing to make quantum-AI directly accessible in one of the world’s most important data hubs - empowering enterprises and governments to unlock new levels of performance and resilience.“
Andy Power, President and CEO of Digital Realty
The integration removes geographical and infrastructure barriers, creating a unified environment for AI model training, efficient data generation, and advanced security application development.
This New York installation should serve as a catalyst for enterprise-scale hybrid computing adoption across the board.
What will the economic and technological impacts of this data centre be?
The UK’s Science Minister, Patrick Vallance, sees great economic potential in this endeavour.
“Quantum computing could transform everything– from speeding up drug discovery to supercharging clean energy so we can cut bills,“ he explains.
“The economic prize is enormous, with US$289bn expected to flow into the UK economy by 2045 and tens of thousands of high-skilled jobs on offer.“

Applications across industries
The Quantum-AI Data Centre targets sectors requiring advanced computing capabilities.
In finance, it enhances risk modelling, fraud detection, portfolio optimisation, and derivatives pricing. Security applications include material simulation, logistics optimisation and complex decision-making.
The facility’s quantum computing capabilities are expected to enhance AI operations by:
- Accelerating model training processes
- Improving synthetic data generation efficiency
- Advancing quantum machine learning applications
- Supporting cross-industry innovation
