OpenAI Officially Announces ChatGPT Android Version Launching Next Week
-
Since its release, ChatGPT has garnered significant attention and attracted a large number of users worldwide. Statistics show that as early as January this year, ChatGPT's user base had already exceeded 100 million. However, at that time, ChatGPT was only available on the web.
In May, OpenAI launched the ChatGPT application for Apple's iOS system, allowing users to access ChatGPT on mobile devices. Now, OpenAI has officially announced that the Android version of ChatGPT will be released next week, with pre-registration already open on the Google Play Store.
From the official sample images provided, the Android version of ChatGPT appears to be functionally similar to the iOS version, likely retaining most of the current features. It is also reported that it will likely support cross-device synchronization of conversations and preferences.
However, according to TechCrunch, the Android version of ChatGPT is expected to launch first in the U.S., as OpenAI did not mention other regions in this announcement. Previously, the iOS version expanded to over 30 countries and regions one week after its U.S. launch.
