At the beginning of 2024, the robotics sector has seen a strong start, with tech giants like Nvidia, Microsoft, OpenAI, and Amazon founder Jeff Bezos investing $675 million in the startup FigureAI. Currently, engineers at FigureAI are developing a robot called "Figure 01," which closely resembles humans in appearance and movement. Driven by positive news, the Robotics Index (H30590) surged by 3.86% at the opening, with robotics-related stocks like Huazhong CNC and Dongjie Intelligent soaring by 20.01%. Other stocks, including Kede CNC, Orbbec, and Huachen Equipment, rose by over 16%.

According to the International Federation of Robotics, the global humanoid robot market is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 71% from 2021 to 2030. Data from the China Electronics Society shows that by 2030, China's humanoid robot market could reach approximately 870 billion yuan, indicating significant growth potential.

Recent developments in humanoid robotics have been promising. On the industrial front, Optimus and Ubtech showcased their latest advancements in humanoid robots through videos. AI giant Nvidia announced plans to release groundbreaking achievements in accelerated computing, generative AI, and robotics in March. On the policy front, on February 19, relevant authorities held a central enterprise AI-themed promotion meeting titled "AI Empowers Industrial Renewal." Humanoid robotics is emerging as a new battleground for future industries. Since 2024, the Robotics Index has undergone a substantial correction, with its current valuation at 49.09, ranking in the 38.75th percentile over the past five years. Investors interested in the robotics industry chain may consider the Robotics ETF (159770). The market carries risks, and investments should be made cautiously. The stocks mentioned are for illustrative purposes only and do not constitute recommendations.
