Microsoft Announces Major Investment in AI and Cloud Infrastructure in Spain
-
Microsoft recently announced plans to invest $2.1 billion in Spain over the next two years to develop artificial intelligence and cloud computing infrastructure.
Brad Smith, Microsoft's global executive vice president, mentioned in a post on X that this move not only demonstrates Microsoft's long-term commitment to Spain and its security and digital transformation development but also allows Microsoft to engage more deeply in the digitalization process of the Spanish government, businesses, and organizations.
Smith did not disclose specific details of the investment in Spain. Previously, Microsoft had just announced a €3.2 billion investment in Germany to develop AI projects. Industry analysts believe this move is a significant step by Microsoft to further expand its market share in the global cloud computing and AI sectors.
