Google Plans to Integrate AI Image Generator Directly into Bard
-
After the Search Generative Experience (SGE) and Slides, Google Bard is about to launch its own image generator, providing users with a wider creative space. According to an unpublished Google Bard changelog (dated January 18), users will be able to easily create stunning images through Bard.
Like other tools, Bard offers a simple creation process where users can turn their imagination into reality with just a few words. This feature will be powered by Google's Imagen series of models, delivering high-quality, realistic, high-resolution, and aesthetically pleasing images. In December of last year, Google introduced Imagen2, aiming to significantly improve image quality, especially for enterprise use cases such as logo generation or creating images with text overlays.
Unlike the similar image generator launched by Google Search in October, Google Bard's image generator will be part of Duet AI, integrated into Google Slides and Meet (for custom backgrounds), offering users more personalized image generation capabilities. The accessibility of this service allows users to easily utilize the image generator in various scenarios, expanding the possibilities of visual creation. Notably, similar to SGE, the Google Bard image generator also prioritizes user safety. It will not generate images containing harmful, misleading, or explicit content, and it blocks prompts featuring celebrities or hyper-realistic faces. Each generated image comes with metadata tags and embedded/invisible watermarks to ensure image security and traceability. The introduction of these safety features provides users with a more secure experience.
