ChatGPT Enterprise Gains Rapid Traction, Attracting 260 Companies in Just Four Months
-
OpenAI's ChatGPT Enterprise has rapidly attracted the attention and registration of 260 companies within just four months of its launch. This growth momentum demonstrates strong interest in OpenAI's flagship product and brings promising revenue expectations for the startup.
According to Bloomberg, ChatGPT Enterprise was launched in August last year, offering enhanced features and privacy protection measures for businesses, including data encryption and a commitment not to use customer information for developing OpenAI technologies. The flexible pricing of ChatGPT Enterprise can be customized according to each company's needs.
OpenAI's Chief Operating Officer Brad Lightcap stated in an interview with Bloomberg that currently, 260 companies are using ChatGPT Enterprise, with a total of over 150,000 registered users. He explained, "When we launched ChatGPT Enterprise, we started a waitlist, and obviously, we needed to process this list gradually." In addition to the enterprise version, OpenAI announced on January 10th the launch of a new paid version of ChatGPT tailored for smaller teams, priced at $25 per user per month. Microsoft informed The Wall Street Journal in November last year that it encourages employees and customers to use ChatGPT Enterprise and Bing Chat Enterprise, as these versions offer higher privacy and security guarantees compared to consumer versions, ensuring user data is confined to company devices and segregated from other user data.
Notably, when launching the GPT Store last week, OpenAI stated that the store would provide special features for ChatGPT Enterprise customers, including enhanced administrative controls, allowing them to choose how to share internal GPTs and which external GPTs to use within their business.
This development indicates that ChatGPT Enterprise has achieved significant success in the corporate market, with OpenAI continuously rolling out new versions and features to meet the varying needs and scales of businesses.
