On January 8, Mark Gurman revealed in the latest issue of "Power On" that Apple plans to launch a series of generative AI tools at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in June.

Gurman stated that these new tools will be introduced as part of iOS 18, including an improved version of Siri. The new Siri is said to feature more natural conversational abilities and provide a more personalized user experience.

It is reported that the company has been testing its "Ajax" large language model since early 2023 and is considering adding "auto-complete" and "auto-summarize" features to its core apps and productivity suite, including Pages and Keynote.

Additionally, the new version of Xcode could leverage AI capabilities to assist developers in completing code. Apple is also exploring integrating AI into Apple Music to offer users an "auto-playlist" creation feature. Furthermore, Apple could use this technology to address AppleCare-related issues.

Gurman believes that "Apple's generative AI vision won't be fully realized until at least 2025," indicating that the company may only roll out partial AI features this year, likely prioritizing iOS 18 and Siri enhancements.

According to previous leaks, the new features are expected to support cross-device functionality, meaning the revamped Siri might be capable of transferring conversation contexts across devices. As previously reported by IT Home, the new Siri will also introduce an exclusive "Apple Creation Service," potentially related to the rumored Siri-based shortcut features in iOS 18.

Insiders also revealed that Apple is developing interfaces to connect the new Siri with various external services, likely through APIs. Finally, the report hints that some new AI features may be tied to subscription service statuses, though the specifics remain unclear.
