Baidu's AI-Native Application Development Workbench 'Qianfan AppBuilder' Fully Opens to Public

Baidu Intelligent Cloud launched over 20 full-stack products at the 2023 Baidu Cloud Intelligence Conference on December 20, aiming to reconstruct cloud computing services to meet the deployment needs of large models. The conference, themed 'Large Models Reconstructing Cloud Computing, Cloud for AI,' explored the transformation of cloud computing driven by large models. Baidu Intelligent Cloud has completed an end-to-end upgrade and reconstruction from underlying infrastructure to large model development and applications, and further to AI-native application development.
At the cloud infrastructure level, Baidu Intelligent Cloud released the Baidu Baige・AI Heterogeneous Computing Platform 3.0, optimized specifically for training and inference of large models. Additionally, Baidu Intelligent Cloud introduced the Intelligent Computing Network Platform, which connects dispersed and heterogeneous computing resources to form a unified computing network resource pool, further enhancing the flexibility and efficiency of intelligent computing resources.
In the field of general computing, Baidu Intelligent Cloud added three new computing instances, including the newly launched 7th-generation cloud server instance G7, Kunlun Core Elastic Bare Metal instance NKL5, and Elastic High-Performance Computing instance NH6T. Moreover, Baidu Intelligent Cloud released the High-Performance Computing Platform CHPC, providing users with one-stop public cloud HPC services.
In the field of distributed cloud, Baidu Intelligent Cloud has upgraded its edge computing node BEC product capabilities, released new features for the dedicated cloud ABC Stack, and introduced new capabilities for the local computing cluster LCC, further enriching its infrastructure and cloud product support matrix.
In the data infrastructure sector, Baidu Intelligent Cloud launched a series of heavyweight new products, including the unified technical foundation Baidu Canghai Storage, object storage BOS, cloud disk CDS, parallel file storage PFS, and other products to accelerate intelligent computing and unleash data value. Additionally, Baidu Intelligent Cloud released the cloud-native database GaiaDB 4.0, which enhances parallel query capabilities and performance.
Furthermore, Baidu Intelligent Cloud introduced Qianfan AppBuilder, designed to meet the needs of enterprises for efficient AI-native application development. AppBuilder offers two product forms: code-based and low-code, providing developers with a rich set of development kits and application components.
Baidu Intelligent Cloud has also released its latest "report card." Since the full public release of the Wenxin large model on August 31, the daily API call volume on the Qianfan large model platform has increased tenfold. Currently, the Qianfan platform has served over 40,000 enterprise users, helping them fine-tune nearly 10,000 large models. Compared to building a system to train large models independently, using the Qianfan platform can reduce costs by up to 90%.
