Tesla Announces Price Increase for Model 3/Y Long-Range Versions

On November 9th, Tesla announced via its official Weibo account that the prices of the Model 3/Y Long-Range versions have been officially increased, with a maximum hike of 2,500 yuan.
Specifically, the price of the Model 3 Long-Range Refresh version has been adjusted to 297,400 yuan, up from 295,900 yuan, an increase of 1,500 yuan. The price of the Model Y All-Wheel Drive Long-Range version has been adjusted to 302,400 yuan, up from 299,900 yuan, an increase of 2,500 yuan.
According to a report by the National Business Daily, a day before Tesla's official announcement of the price increase, sales personnel had already posted on social media, stating, "The Model Y is about to increase in price, which is a follow-up adjustment after the high-performance version's price was raised by 14,000 yuan."
On October 27th of this year, Tesla announced a 14,000 yuan price increase for the Model Y Performance version, with the adjusted price set at 363,900 yuan. At that time, the prices of the Model Y Rear-Wheel Drive Standard and Long-Range versions remained unchanged.
Cui Dongshu, Secretary-General of the China Passenger Car Association, stated in an interview with the media that Tesla's price increase for the Model Y and Model 3 is a pricing adjustment plan made in response to increasing profit pressures.
The latest financial report shows that Tesla's total revenue for the third quarter of 2023 was $23.35 billion, a 9% year-on-year increase; net profit was $1.853 billion, a 44% year-on-year decrease; and gross profit was $4.178 billion, a 22% year-on-year decline.
