According to Reuters, Elon Musk's artificial intelligence company xAI filed a lawsuit against Apple and ChatGPT developer OpenAI in a federal court in Texas on Monday. xAI accuses the two companies of illegally colluding to hinder competition in the AI field, damaging the development opportunities of other innovative companies.

In the lawsuit, xAI claims that Apple and OpenAI have locked down the market through exclusive agreements, putting competitors like xAI and its app X at a disadvantage. The lawsuit states that, were it not for this collusion, Apple should have more actively promoted xAI's app Grok. xAI is therefore seeking billions of dollars in damages from Apple and OpenAI.

Subsequently, Musk responded to the lawsuit on social media platform X, stating: "@Grok has 1 million reviews with an average rating of 4.9, yet Apple still refuses to list Grok in any rankings." Musk's remarks highlight his skepticism about Apple's role in market competition and further support xAI's legal claims.

In response, an OpenAI spokesperson stated in a declaration that xAI's lawsuit aligns with Musk's pattern of harassment, implying that this is Musk's attempt to pressure competitors through legal means. As of now, Apple has not issued any public comment on the matter.

This lawsuit reflects the increasingly competitive landscape in the AI field, particularly as Musk's xAI attempts to disrupt the existing market dynamics. The outcome of this case will have significant implications for the competitive environment in the AI industry.

    Key Points:
