Adobe's Project Stardust is a preview of a next-generation AI image editing engine designed to enable users to easily perform creative photo editing with Adobe's AI tools. Powered by the Firefly Model 2, this project combines various AI capabilities including Adobe's object recognition model and generative fill.

Users can upload their own photos or create images with Firefly, after which the AI will automatically analyze the image and create layers for different objects. Users can simply drag and drop to move objects, with the AI tool automatically filling in the gaps. Similar to existing Photoshop features, users can also easily add new objects to scenes, with four different options provided.

In total, over ten different AI models support Stardust's various functions. The rapid development of this technology has sparked discussions about its future impact in the photography field, with similar features already demonstrated in tools like Google's Magic Editor.
