OpenAI plans to reduce application development costs, especially for those based on its AI models, by releasing a Stateful API. This API will allow developers to build applications more cost-effectively as it can remember conversation history, thereby lowering expenses and solving the issue of high costs for partners developing AI software.

Additionally, OpenAI is set to introduce new visual development tools to help developers create applications capable of analyzing and describing images. These tools are expected to find applications in various fields such as healthcare, finance, e-commerce, and entertainment.

On another note, regarding the development strategy for GPT-5, OpenAI had previously stated that there were no immediate plans to develop GPT-5. However, recent developments suggest they might reconsider their stance.

Despite concerns about user privacy and data security, OpenAI has filed a trademark application for GPT-5 and signed an AI safety agreement with the U.S. government, committing to developing generative AI technology in a transparent, safe, and stable manner. This has raised questions about whether OpenAI will showcase GPT-5 at the upcoming developer conference.

Furthermore, OpenAI faces the challenge of enhancing ChatGPT's security. They have discontinued the development of an AI content detection tool due to its poor performance in identification accuracy. This has sparked curiosity about whether OpenAI will adopt a strategy similar to Google's digital watermarking technology (SynthID) to release a comparable product, thereby improving ChatGPT's security and expanding its application scope.
