Robin Li Announces Official Launch of ERNIE 4.0, Comparable to GPT-4

The 2023 Baidu World Conference commenced on October 17 at Beijing's Shougang Park, with the theme 'PROMPT THE WORLD'.
At this grand event, where Baidu's founder, chairman, and CEO Robin Li delivered a keynote speech, he elaborated on the latest advancements in AI-native applications and how to leverage the ERNIE large model for innovative application development.
Robin Li stated that over the past year, large model technology has become a major breakthrough in the field of technological innovation. Large models possess powerful comprehension and generation capabilities, providing a solid foundation for the development of AI-native applications.
During the conference, Robin Li also announced the official launch of the ERNIE 4.0 model. He emphasized that ERNIE 4.0 is the most powerful version to date, achieving a comprehensive upgrade of the foundational model. Compared to GPT-4, ERNIE 4.0 demonstrates equally impressive performance in understanding, generation, logic, and memory capabilities.
It is reported that ERNIE 4.0 has already begun its invitation-only testing phase.
