Baidu's Wenxin 4.0 Progress Exceeds Expectations, Trillion-Parameter Model on the Horizon

Baidu is accelerating the training of its Wenxin large model 4.0, which may be released at the Baidu World Conference on October 17 and is currently undergoing small-scale testing.
The progress of Wenxin 4.0 has far exceeded expectations, representing a major upgrade to the foundational model. Its core capabilities in comprehension, generation, logic, and memory have been comprehensively enhanced, with particularly notable improvements in logical reasoning, coding, and mathematics. The accuracy of generated content has significantly surpassed that of similar products.
With each iteration, Wenxin 4.0's parameter scale will surpass all previously publicly released LLMs. It is also the first large model in China to be trained on a 10,000-card cluster, indicating that its parameter scale is expected to exceed the trillion level.
According to China Securities Journal, generative AI has seen explosive growth this year, demonstrating immense potential to transform the economy and society. In China, tech companies are rapidly entering the generative AI race, having released or currently developing hundreds of large model products.
The "2023 China ICT Technology Maturity Curve" released by Gartner's China team shows that generative AI is at the peak of the "expectation" phase. With the imminent release of Baidu's Wenxin 4.0, related partners are expected to attract attention.

- Guanghuan Xinwang (300383): Its subsidiary Wushuang Technology announced on February 16 that it has become one of the first ecosystem partners for Wenxin Yiyan, aiming to apply Baidu's leading intelligent dialogue technology in the field of one-stop advertising and marketing.
