Baidu to Launch World's First AI-Native Map

Baidu will release Baidu Map V19 on October 17, featuring comprehensive upgrades in 'new interaction' and 'new navigation.'
The most notable feature is that Baidu Map V19 will be reconstructed based on the Wenxin large model and introduce a brand-new 'AI Guide.' This 'AI Guide' possesses multi-turn natural language interaction capabilities, making the user experience with the map closer to real human communication.
Additionally, Baidu Map V19 introduces a 'one-tap wake-up' feature, allowing users to access thousands of folded functionalities within the app with just a single command, bypassing the hassle of multi-level menus.
Baidu Map V19 also supports more personalized search and recommendation features. For example, when users need to find a place suitable for group gatherings that isn't too far away, they can simply speak their request into their phone, and Baidu Map will automatically provide the optimal solution.
Furthermore, Baidu Map V19 has independently developed the industry's first map-generation large model. By establishing a new end-to-end lane network paradigm, it reduces map production costs by 95% and significantly enhances the entire map-making process.
