Tencent Fully Opens Access to Hunyuan Large Model: Over 100 Billion Parameters and 2 Trillion Tokens

On September 7, at the 2023 Tencent Global Digital Ecosystem Conference, Dowson Tong, Senior Executive Vice President of Tencent Group and CEO of the Cloud and Smart Industries Group, announced the official industrial debut of Tencent's self-developed general-purpose large language model—Hunyuan.
The Tencent Hunyuan large model boasts over 100 billion parameters and has been pre-trained on more than 2 trillion tokens. It exhibits strong capabilities in Chinese language understanding and generation, logical reasoning, and reliable task execution.
Currently, the Hunyuan large model has been integrated into over 50 Tencent businesses and products, including Tencent Cloud, Tencent Advertising, Tencent Games, Tencent FinTech, Tencent Meeting, Tencent Docs, WeChat Search, and QQ Browser, with initial positive results.
Tong stated that industries across various sectors can access Hunyuan via API or use it as a base model to develop large model applications tailored to different industrial scenarios.
He also emphasized that Tencent has established close collaborations with 11,000 ecosystem partners, launching industry solutions covering more than 100 industrial scenarios to serve diverse sectors. Last year, ecosystem partners contributed one-third of Tencent Cloud's total revenue, with their revenue growth rate being four times that of Tencent Cloud.
