TAL Education Launches Innovative Math-Focused Large Model MathGPT, Leading a New Revolution in EdTech
-
On August 24, during TAL Education's 20th-anniversary live event, CTO Tian Mi announced the official launch and public beta of MathGPT, the company's self-developed trillion-parameter large model for mathematics. Starting today, users can apply for free trial access via the official website (www.mathgpt.com).
In May this year, TAL Education revealed it was developing a self-developed large model for mathematics, named MathGPT. MathGPT is a vertical large model in the mathematics field, targeting global math enthusiasts and research institutions, with problem-solving and explanation algorithms at its core. It is also China's first large model specifically designed for mathematics.
When using MathGPT, users can upload math problems via text or images to receive conversational feedback with solutions. Alternatively, they can click the "Random Question" button to generate math problems randomly, with the system providing answers. Currently, MathGPT supports Chinese and English versions on both PC and mobile platforms.
The MathGPT website shows that its mathematical computation capabilities cover elementary, middle, and high school math problems, including calculation problems, word problems, algebra, and more. Users can also ask follow-up questions about the problems, though interactions beyond mathematics are not yet available.
