Recently, Tesla CEO Elon Musk posted a series of messages on social media, claiming that OpenAI is luring Tesla engineers with high salaries and has succeeded in some cases.

Musk described this as 'the craziest talent war I've ever seen' and announced plans to increase salaries for AI engineers. The rapid development of AI has also intensified competition among tech giants, with AI talent becoming the top priority. The ability to attract and retain AI professionals is considered one of the key factors for the success of tech giants.

Naveen Rao from AI startup Databricks stated that recruiting ordinary software engineers is not a problem, but there are very few qualified candidates for training large language models (LLMs) or solving complex AI challenges, estimated to be no more than two hundred globally.

At the same time, sales professionals with advanced skills and deep industry understanding are becoming scarce. Rao pointed out that these specialized sales talents can earn twice the salary of traditional enterprise software salespeople. Rao stated that frontline AI talent can easily command annual salaries exceeding one million dollars amid the wave of layoffs in other tech sectors.
