AI programmer Devin's parent company, Cognition AI, has seen its valuation skyrocket to $2 billion in less than half a year. The founding team holds 10 IOI gold medals, showcasing their exceptional capabilities.

In comparison, other companies like Perlexity AI and Mistral AI, after years of development, have valuations ranging only between $1 billion and $2 billion, highlighting the rapid rise and exceptional valuation of Cognition AI. If this valuation is finalized in the funding round, Cognition AI's valuation would be six times higher than it was just a few weeks ago. Insiders reveal that Silicon Valley venture capital firms, including Founders Fund, are in talks to invest in this funding round. The new financing agreement has not yet been finalized, and terms may still change. However, a Sequoia report revealed a phenomenon in the AI industry: AI companies have spent over $50 billion on GPUs, while actual revenue generated is only about $3 billion. This has sparked discussions about an AI bubble, with some worrying that excessive capital investment could lead to a burst, similar to what happened in the cryptocurrency market.

DeepMind founder Hassabis also issued a warning, pointing out that truly transformative AI breakthroughs for human science are not receiving enough attention.
