-
On February 26th, it was reported that on Monday, Circle Internet Financial announced a partnership with Overdare, a joint venture established by South Korean gaming and metaverse giants Krafton and Naver Z Corporation. The collaboration aims to build a large-scale metaverse platform similar to Roblox.
According to a statement released on Monday, through this partnership, the Overdare platform will utilize Circle's programmable wallets to develop its user-generated content gaming platform. This will assist game content creators in setting up game wallets to receive USDC payments.
In an X post, Circle CEO Jeremy Allaire stated that a 'large-scale, Roblox-style' metaverse based on Circle's wallet infrastructure and USDC is currently under development.
It is reported that the Overdare platform is expected to launch in the second half of 2024. It will offer AI-generated tools and plans to integrate Settlus, a Cosmos-based Layer 1 blockchain, to establish a revenue distribution model for creators.
