Huawei Releases the First Large Model in the Communication Industry to Boost Network Productivity

At the grandly held 2024 World Mobile Communications Congress (MWC2024) in Barcelona, Huawei became the center of attention. The company not only showcased its full range of 5G-A products and solutions but also released the first large model in the communication industry.
According to Huawei's official introduction, this large model is designed to meet the industry's high-level intelligent goals of agile business deployment, precise user experience assurance, and cross-domain efficient operation and maintenance. It provides intelligent applications based on roles and scenarios, aiming to help operators enhance employee capabilities, improve user satisfaction, and comprehensively boost network productivity.
Huawei emphasized that 2024 marks the first year of 5G-A commercialization, and they will work with global operators to explore the evolution path to the 5G-A era. The release of this communication large model is not only a major breakthrough for Huawei in the fields of communication and artificial intelligence but also regarded as a significant milestone in the global communication industry's development. During the conference, Yang Chaobin, Huawei's Director and President of ICT Products & Solutions, personally unveiled this communication AI model. He stated that the model would provide key intelligent technological capabilities, bringing significant improvements to business innovation and operational maintenance, thereby achieving the intelligent goals of the 5G-A era. Yang Chaobin also mentioned, "Huawei's communication AI model fully leverages the advantages of intelligent technology, offering two types of application capabilities: role-based Copilots and scenario-based Agents, which will comprehensively enhance network productivity."
