At the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Qualcomm introduced several new technologies. The company launched Qualcomm AI Hub, a new tool that allows developers to run AI models on Qualcomm devices.

Qualcomm AI Hub provides over 75 optimized AI models for Snapdragon and Qualcomm platforms, reducing developers' time-to-market and unlocking the benefits of on-device AI for their applications.

These models are also available on Hugging Face and GitHub. Developers will be able to run the models themselves with just a few lines of code on cloud-hosted devices supported by the Qualcomm platform. Qualcomm also showcased large-scale language, vision, and multimodal AI models running on Android smartphones and Windows PCs. For instance, the company for the first time ran a 7-billion-parameter large language and vision assistant multimodal model on a smartphone.

Additionally, Qualcomm unveiled the new generation FastConnect 7900 mobile connectivity system. This is the first system to integrate Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth, and ultra-wideband (UWB) technologies on a single chip, utilizing AI to optimize performance.

Qualcomm stated that these new technologies can enable large-scale commercialization and democratization of on-device AI, delivering more personalized and intelligent experiences to users.
