iFLYTEK's 2024 Large Model Goal: Reach GPT-4 Turbo Level in the First Half of the Year

On February 6, iFLYTEK held its grand 2023-2024 annual meeting themed 'Reaching for the Sky and Grounding in Reality, A Single Spark Can Start a Prairie Fire' at the University of Science and Technology of China.
In terms of business performance, after a decline in the first quarter, iFLYTEK stabilized in the second and third quarters, achieving robust growth of over 20% in the fourth quarter. Annual revenue surpassed the 20 billion mark for the first time, with positive cash flow, demonstrating the company's strong profitability and stable financial condition. Chairman Liu Qingfeng proudly stated in his summary: "We have withstood the extreme pressure from the U.S., seized the strategic opportunity of large models, and independently entered a new phase of strategic opportunities!" Looking ahead to the new year, he confidently proposed four annual goals for the iFlytek Spark cognitive model:
- The Spark model must lead domestically and benchmark against GPT-4.
- Empower 10 million smart hardware terminals and exceed 100 million independent software users.
- Achieve leading positions in key industries such as education, healthcare, finance, automotive, state-owned enterprises, and urban markets.
- Gather 1 million large model developers to jointly build the industry's top ecosystem.
Over the past year, the Spark model has continuously advanced, nearing the current level of GPT-4 Turbo. Liu Qingfeng stated that in 2024, Spark will maintain its rapid upgrade pace and is expected to reach the current best level of GPT-4 Turbo in the first half of the year.
