Recently, internet celebrity Xinba praised pre-made food during a live-streaming sales event, claiming that it is healthier and more hygienic for children, sparking heated discussions online. On January 21, Xinba responded to the controversy in his live stream, stating that his words were taken out of context. He clarified that he was advocating for people to eat good-quality food, not junk or spoiled food, and mentioned that Lao Gan Ma and powdered milk are also pre-made foods, emphasizing that these are national brands with craftsmanship. He argued that pre-made food is merely a matter of standards and questioned why he was being singled out.
On January 22, regarding Xinba's mention of Lao Gan Ma, a staff member from Nanming Lao Gan Ma Flavor Food Co., Ltd. responded: 'Our oil-based products are condiments, and the raw materials are clearly labeled on the back of the product. The chili oil products do not fall under the category of pre-made food.' The company has received feedback on the issue raised in Xinba's live stream and is currently investigating. If Lao Gan Ma's reputation is infringed upon, the company will take legal action to protect its rights.
