As the world's richest person and a prominent American entrepreneur, Tesla CEO Elon Musk's political leanings have always been closely watched. Musk recently ruled out the possibility of voting for incumbent President Joe Biden in the upcoming November U.S. presidential election.

In this post, an X account named "Miss Jillybean" shared a video on the 21st of Musk's May 2023 interview with CNBC. The CNBC host mentioned the 2020 U.S. presidential election and stated that Musk had voted for Biden at the time. Musk acknowledged this: "I did."

Musk has always been known for his outspokenness. Although he expressed dissatisfaction with Biden's administration, he did not specify the reasons or show support for another candidate.

In fact, this is not the first time Musk has stated that he will not support Biden. Last November, during an interview at the New York DealBook Summit, Musk indicated that he would not vote for Biden in the 2024 election, even if Trump were the Republican candidate.

Despite voting for Biden in 2020, the relationship between Musk and Biden has been strained since Biden took office. The White House once invited executives from General Motors, Ford, and Stellantis to a "Clean Energy Vehicle Event," conspicuously excluding Tesla, the global leader in electric vehicles. Musk has repeatedly criticized the Biden administration's actions and harbored resentment over this incident. With the ever-evolving U.S. political landscape, voices from heavyweight figures like Elon Musk are crucial in swaying public sentiment and could influence the outcome of the general election.

On April 25 last year, Biden announced his bid for re-election. Currently, multiple U.S. polls indicate that Biden holds a significant lead over his Democratic challengers in party support.

In the final presidential election, Biden may once again face off against former U.S. President Donald Trump in a high-stakes showdown. Trump is currently competing with former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley for the Republican presidential nomination.

On Sunday, Republican presidential candidate and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis announced his withdrawal from the presidential race and threw his support behind Trump, the party's frontrunner, bringing Trump one step closer to securing the Republican nomination.
