Recently, Lei Jun, founder and chairman of Xiaomi Group, responded again to questions about the pricing of Xiaomi cars in an interview with CCTV. He stated that the performance of Xiaomi cars is comparable to that of traditional fuel-powered luxury cars costing 2-3 million yuan, with very powerful configurations and high costs. Regarding the speculated prices of 99,000 yuan, 149,000 yuan, or even 199,000 yuan, Lei Jun considered these prices to be jokes.
He revealed that the pricing of Xiaomi cars would be relatively high, with the specific price to be announced at the official product launch event. At the same time, Lei Jun mentioned that Xiaomi cars have already entered small-scale production and are expected to be officially launched in the first half of 2024.
