Recently, Lei Jun, founder and chairman of Xiaomi Group, responded again to questions about the pricing of Xiaomi cars in an interview with CCTV. He stated that the performance of Xiaomi cars is comparable to that of traditional fuel-powered luxury cars costing 2-3 million yuan, with very powerful configurations and high costs. Regarding the speculated prices of 99,000 yuan, 149,000 yuan, or even 199,000 yuan, Lei Jun considered these prices to be jokes.

He revealed that the pricing of Xiaomi cars would be relatively high, with the specific price to be announced at the official product launch event. At the same time, Lei Jun mentioned that Xiaomi cars have already entered small-scale production and are expected to be officially launched in the first half of 2024.

During the interview, Lei Jun also discussed the late-mover advantages of Xiaomi in car manufacturing, China's industrial foundation, and the development trends of hardcore technology in the next decade. He believes that being late has its benefits, and Xiaomi cars will leverage China's industrial foundation and the rapid development of new energy vehicle technology over the past decade to achieve ultimate success in the field of smart electric vehicles. Additionally, he stated that Xiaomi aims to become a global leader in the next generation of hardcore technology within 10 years. From Lei Jun's interview, it's evident that Xiaomi's car will possess strong competitiveness in terms of pricing, configuration, and technology. With the launch of Xiaomi's car, we look forward to its greater achievements in the field of smart electric vehicles.
