Kai-Fu Lee: AI Will Become the Largest and Newest IT Platform in the Future

Kai-Fu Lee, Chairman and CEO of Sinovation Ventures and CEO of 01.AI, participated in the MEET2024 Intelligent Future Conference hosted by QbitAI via video today, sharing his insights on the development of the AI field. In Lee's view, AI will become the largest and newest IT platform.
Lee stated that we have previously witnessed two major IT platforms: the first was Windows, which Microsoft built during the PC era, along with its ecosystem. The second was Android (and iOS), which revolutionized mobile internet.
According to Lee, the third revolution is the AI 2.0 revolution, meaning AI will become the largest and newest platform. In the PC era, computers entered every household; in the mobile internet era, people could access the internet anytime, anywhere; in the AI era, super-intelligent AGI (Artificial General Intelligence) can integrate with every app, undoubtedly creating immense value.
Lee also advised that truly ambitious and visionary developers should focus on AI-First and AI-Native applications, as these are the ones most likely to become the greatest—or, from a more practical standpoint, the most profitable—applications.
