Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates recently shared his unique perspective on AI in a program.

He believes that the widespread application of AI technology may ultimately lead to people only needing to work three days a week instead of the current five.

In his view, while AI will not completely replace human work in all fields, it can significantly improve work efficiency and reduce human involvement in production activities. In the future, machines could take on most of the material production tasks, manufacturing food and various goods, while people will have more time to focus on and enjoy life.

Currently, some AI technologies including ChatGPT are becoming increasingly mature, and the application areas of AI continue to expand. With further technological advancements, we have reason to believe that AI will replace human work in more scenarios, further liberating human hands.
