DingTalk AI Officially Launches Public Beta with 17 Products and 60+ Application Scenarios
-
At the DingTalk Summit in April 2023, DingTalk President Ye Jun announced plans to 'remake DingTalk' using large-scale AI models. Over the next 100+ days, this 'DingTalk remake' has begun to show results.
On November 3, the DingTalk AI Magic Wand officially launched, with 17 products and over 60 scenarios now open for public testing.
Currently, all users can directly access the new 'Magic Wand' entry on the DingTalk homepage to interactively use 17 products, including 'DingTalk Chat, Documents, Knowledge Base, Mind Maps, Flash Notes, Teambition,' and more—simply click the Magic Wand to get started.

Meanwhile, DingTalk has opened its intelligent infrastructure (AI PaaS) to ecosystem partners and customers, helping them reshape their products and fully integrate DingTalk's intelligent services into the ecosystem. Official data reveals that, as of the end of October, over 500,000 enterprises have joined the beta testing of the 'DingTalk AI Magic Wand.' Among high-frequency users, manufacturing and internet companies account for the largest share, with daily AI usage exceeding 15 times and some enterprises reaching over 300 times.
Previously, the industry proposed a hypothesis about the implementation of large models in super applications: with the support of large models, future applications might simply operate through natural language conversations.
Now, DingTalk has preliminarily answered this proposition by providing a practical implementation case. Through a unified LUI (Language User Interface) interaction entry, DingTalk's 'AI Magic Wand,' powered by large models, transforms the interaction across various scenarios and applications from traditional menu-based navigation to natural language dialogue.
The 'Magic Wand' is not just an independent feature—it can be activated via the homepage 'Magic Wand' for exploration or used to enable AI services across different product interfaces. Currently, the AI Magic Wand provides one-stop access to nearly 20 skills across five categories: chat, YiDa (low-code platform), intelligent Q&A, documents, and application consultation.
For example, in enhancing information processing efficiency, the intelligent Q&A AI can quickly answer questions, Flash Notes AI can automatically generate meeting minutes, and Chat AI allows users to grasp key points without scrolling through lengthy conversations.
On the other hand, it expands creative space. For example, Document AI can automatically generate graphic content, and Mind Map AI can create PPTs with one click.
According to data disclosed by DingTalk, Document AI has generated 400,000 pieces of content for users, and Flash Note AI has produced 1.5 million meeting summaries.
Currently, the DingTalk AI suite includes 17 product lines, over 60 scenarios, and nearly 100 AI skills, covering office applications such as chat, documents, spreadsheets, knowledge bases, as well as professional SaaS tools like meeting management and project collaboration.
DingTalk believes that the richness of applications is the foundation for the commercial value of AI and the key to transforming technology into productivity. From the perspective of user needs, DingTalk's open AI capabilities are initially applied to typical summarization scenarios, including "long document summaries, knowledge base summaries, meeting summaries, and chat summaries."
For example, after a video conference, DingTalk Flash Notes can generate verbatim transcripts, intelligently segment topics, and create summaries. A two- to three-hour meeting can be reviewed in just three minutes by browsing the smart summary. Colleagues who missed the meeting can easily catch up by using the summary and smart chapters, filtering by topics and speakers, and quickly locating and reviewing the content with synchronized notes, audio, and visuals.
In addition to summarization scenarios, AI can also help improve efficiency and reduce anxiety in tasks like creating PPTs, which many workers find tedious. Various types of content, including copywriting, proposals, image creation, PPTs, mind maps, and low-code applications, can all be assisted by the "AI Magic Wand." Whatever style you need, just ask AI.
In addition to data analysis tasks such as processing contract data, visualizing Excel data, and extracting information from documents and PDF files, all of which can be completed through AI dialogue, DingTalk's AI doesn't stop there. Beyond handling these tasks, the AI can also assist with functional usage, template recommendations, and application selection, instantly transforming into a helpful assistant to provide real-time answers to your questions.
Moreover, leveraging AI's rapid processing capabilities, DingTalk has upgraded several products with practical features. For example, the Calendar Smart Poster can intelligently generate poster content based on schedule themes, automatically perform portrait cutouts, and create aesthetically pleasing and functional smart posters in just five seconds.
As of the end of October this year, over 500,000 companies have joined DingTalk's AI beta testing, collectively experiencing 60 different AI-powered features, including Chat AI, Document AI, Meeting AI, and Yida AI.
Among the enterprises participating in the beta testing, excluding the education sector, manufacturing, internet, and retail industries account for the highest proportions at 19%, 17%, and 16%, respectively. Additionally, the usage rates of summary generation and Q&A bots exceed 50%. Large enterprises are also actively involved—among the top 5,000 organizations frequently using AI, those with over 5,000 employees account for more than 6%, while mid-to-large enterprises with over 2,000 employees make up more than 9%. High-frequency AI users average over 15 interactions per day, with some companies even reaching an average of over 300 AI uses per employee daily.
Users can simply issue commands to the AI to perform tasks such as retrieving information, drafting copy, or obtaining app recommendations, significantly simplifying workflows.
This 'application fusion' interaction paradigm not only addresses the complexity of DingTalk's features but also eliminates the need for traditional app icon interfaces within enterprises in the future, as all operations can be completed through natural language interactions with AI.
Currently, the DingTalk AI suite is fully open for testing and can be accessed directly via the DingTalk app or PC client.
