On November 1st, Baidu officially launched the Ernie Bot Pro version, priced at 59.9 yuan/month, with a discounted continuous subscription rate of 49.9 yuan/month, providing users with more diverse and professional capabilities.

Meanwhile, the previously available basic version of Ernie Bot remains free for users.

It is reported that for users seeking more professional tools, Baidu has introduced the Ernie Bot Pro version based on the Ernie 4.0 model to meet diverse and professional needs.

Users can choose between the free basic version or the paid Pro version based on their requirements.

Compared to the basic version based on Ernie 3.5, the Pro version based on 4.0 offers stronger model capabilities and image generation, supports a variety of practical plugins, and is more suitable for users who need Ernie Bot for professional tasks such as coding, copywriting, and graphic design.

Industry analysis suggests that Baidu's decision to charge now indicates that the company believes Ernie 4.0 has widened the gap with other domestic large models. Previously, the Ernie Bot based on Ernie 3.5 was opened to the public on August 31st, offering free access via both the official website and app. Since its launch, the user base has reached 45 million. Ernie 4.0 was released on October 17th, trained on a 10,000-card cluster based on the PaddlePaddle platform, achieving comprehensive improvements in understanding, generation, logic, and memory capabilities, with performance comparable to GPT-4.

Currently, ERNIE Bot 4.0 is still undergoing continuous upgrades, with a nearly 30% improvement in performance over the past month.
